Rwenzururu King calls for peace, unity and co-existence

The Rwenzururu King, His Majesty Charles Wesley Mumbere Irema-ngoma has reechoed his earlier message for peace, unity and co-existence which he said was the original baseline for the Rwenzururu Kingdom struggle.

He calls on all tribes in the Kingdom to co-exist, share ideas and peacefully work together if the Kingdom was to develop and keep peacefully.

Addressing hundreds of his subjects who welcomed him at his Private Palace in Nyangereka upper village in Kitswamba Sub County in Kasese district yesterday, the King who described promoters of sectarianism as poison to the Kingdom, later condoled with widows and Orphans of the 26th and 27th November, 2016 kingdom attacks by the Ugandan security.

The Kasese district local council five chairperson, Mr. Eriphaz Muhindi who had earlier asked government for an affirmative development fund to the region over the past repeated conflicts like it was done to Northern Uganda, said they were lobbying state for the construction of a palace and establishment of a Sacco to help the widows and orphans of the deceased palace attack. The Member of Parliament for Kasese Municipality, Hon. Ferigo Kambale said they lived desperate orphans in the house without their King whom he believes will help them push certain issues of public interest.

Lt. Joe Walunsimbi, the Kasese Resident District Commissioner said like before, he will closely work with the King he asked to champion development and demands by the Kingdom. Lt. Walunsimbi ………

Director for Trumpet Foundation, Hon. Joneni Bamwenda who donated a bull to the king with other construction materials to Nyangereka private palace project, calls for peace and unity if the Kingdom was to develop.
