14 women from ADF terrorists have been captured in North Kivu Province

The Uganda Peoples Defense Forces UPDF in a joint operation with the armed Forces of Democratic Republic of Congo -FARDC have captured fourteen women from ADF terrorists in Mwalika Valley in North Kivu Province.

The spokesperson for joint operation Shujja Mountain Division, Maj. Bilal Katamba told Kasese Guide Radio in telephone interview last evening shortly after the operation.

MaJ. Katamba said those captured at River Talha and Semuliki were under the command of Abu Waqas, a notorious ADF commander, who escaped narrowly.

Some of the women who were captured From the ADF Terrorists in North Kivu Province.

Among them is a Burundian Nationality who has been serving as wife to MaJ.Waqas for the last five years. Katamba one on ADF…

He appealed to ADF fighters and collaborators to denounce the act and surrender to UPDF forces and receive amnesty or else the UPDF forces will continue to fight them until they surrender or die in crossfire.

Maj. Katamba alleged that Abu Waqas’s  group is responsible for the ADF attack at Lhubiriha Community secondary school in Kasese district where over forty people including students were killed.

Meanwhile, a suspected ADF rebel was arrested yesterday in Kahokya Sub County in Kasese district, the area local council three chairperson, Mr. Nyesio Byamutima confirmed and identified the suspect as Martin Oweto. Mr. Byamutima on ADF arrest ……
