It was yet another platform of drama like scenario as Lt. Joe Walunsimbi, the Kasese Resident District Commissioner intervened to save Hon. Gideon Thembo Mujungu, the Member of Parliament for Busongora County South from being arrested by High Court Bailiffs.

Several meetings are said to have been convened to save the NRM backed Legislator from over two hundred million shillings as in court costs to Hon. Jackson Mbaju Kathika, the High court petitioner in an election case who is also a former Member of Parliament for Busongora South.

To Lt. Walunsimbi, the Court Bailiffs from Bamwenda and Auctioneers Co. ltd had no legal and moral mandate to follow up Hon. Mujungu into his house where he had sneaked into on realizing that the visitors he had warmly welcomed, were court officials and police intending to arrest him. Lt. Walunsimbi and Bailiffs…

Mr. Jonani Bamwenda who blamed and threatened to sue to courts of law; the Kasese RDC for blocking Lawful High Court Orders to Hon. Mujungu, was disappointed that Lt. Walunsimbi was politicizing legal matters.
