Kasese Guide Radio takes a trophy for the Inter-media soccer tournament

Kasese Guide Radio is the champion of the Kithulha Inter-media soccer tournament held at Kamaiba seventh Day primary school in Kasese Municipality.

Declaring the winning team in the first Edition for Inter-media friendly competitions sponsored by Kithulha care Initiative, Kasese Guide Radio was declared the winner last evening after scoring 06 goals and 08 points without any loss, followed by UBC Ngeya, as Light FM came in the third position, Rwenzori TV the fourth, followed by South Rwenzori Messiah Radio.

In his address to thousands of spectators, the Chief Guest who is also the State Minister for National Guidance, Hon. Godfrey Kabyanga said the move by Kithulha Care Initiative ought to be applauded for helping Government realize her dream for Sports Tourism.

The trustee of Kithulha care initiative, Mr. Francis Kithulha Mugisa said for the media being the fourth estate with the loudest voice to the community, supporting its plans to gather for soccer was an initiative he couldn’t undermine. Mr. Kithula speaking……..

The Kasese district Chairperson, Mr. Eriphaz Muhindi who asked local government in Kasese to include the media in their annual budgets, described the press as a key player of development before asking journalists to maintain professionalism if they were to keep relevant to the community they serve. The First inter-media sports tournament in Kasese was also attended by the RDC, Lt Joe Walusimbi, the local council three chairperson for Hima town council, Ms. Hilda Maate and the Kasese Municipal Central Division Boss, Mr. Safari Martin among others. END
