Three year old baby dies after eating boiled egg

Traders at Kasese Main Market were treated to shock this afternoon after a three year old baby girl died after eating boiled egg.

No official comment yet from Police but the Chairperson Kasese Main Market, Mr. Wilson B Wahimba confirmed and identified the deceased mother as Ms. Esther Biira, a resident of Kikonzo cell in Kasese Municipality.

Wahimba who condoled with the bereaved family said they were shock to see a bouncing baby girl playing with her mother die minutes after feasting on an egg bought by her mother. Mr. Wahimba on death…

Mr. Nason Ndathu and Ms Kasifa Mbambu eye witnesses told this Radio the deceased mother bought an egg in their presence but moments later the child collapsed and was rushed to Kasese Community Health and Education Foundation where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

A Medical officer at Kasese Community health and education Foundation commonly known as Bishop Masereka, Dr. Leone Ocen said the baby died of Aspiration Pneumonia where particles of the Egg York went into the Airways instead of going to the Stomach.
