2 billion shs for rehabilitating Rukoki health centre four is missing

Hon. Robert Centenary, the former Member of Parliament representing Kasese Municipality has called for investigations into the whereabouts of two billion shillings reportedly meant for the rehabilitation of Rukoki health centre four in Kasese district.

Speaking to Kasese Guide radio in Kasese yesterday, Hon. Centenary said whereas the concerned development partners and individuals jointly contributed to the weekend marathon aimed at funding the rehabilitation of the maternity ward at the Rukoki health center, Central government had reportedly released about two billion shillings to fund general infrastructural overhaul of the health facility.Hon. Centenary asks those in leadership to make a follow up over the said monies which he said was enough to do a good job at the health center. Hon. Centenary speaking………

Addressing mourners in Kyogha-Irughe village in Bwera Sub County over the weekend, Hon. Florence Kabugho, the Kasese district Woman Member of Parliament said when she approached the Prime Minister about the Rukoki health center four marathon, she wondered what the two billion shillings released by government had been spent on.

Hon. Florence who called for joint efforts against the increasing cases of corruption, pledged to make follow up over the funds she believes would do good work at the facility. Hon. Florence on corruption……..

In his speech shortly after the Marathon, Hon. Godfrey Kabyanga, the State Minister for National said that about seven hundred Million shillings had been dispersed to the UPDF Engineering unit for the Rukoki health center four construction project due soon. END.
