Police FC will be aiming to secure a double over visiting Kitara FC when the two sides meet at Kavumba Recreation Ground on Thursday, 27 March 2025, as the Uganda Premier League resumes following the international break.

In the reverse fixture at Butema, Police secured a 1-0 victory, marking their third consecutive league win over Kitara since the latter first competed in the top division during the 2021/22 season. However, much has changed for both teams since then.

Despite a poor start, Kitara have shown significant improvement and now sit sixth in the league table with 29 points, although they have stumbled in their last two matches.

Police, currently in 12th place with 23 points, will be looking to close the gap and strengthen their position in the standings with a win.

They will face a slightly weakened Kitara side, who will be without Amos Etoju (suspended), Benjamin Nyakoojo (injured), as well as Marvin Nyanzi and Rogers Mugisha.

Given the recent form of both sides, this match promises to be an intriguing contest, with Kitara looking to recover from recent setbacks, while Police aim to extend their dominance over the Hoima-based team.
