Loro Secondary School crowned Oyam District Ball Games Champions

The boys’ team of Loro Secondary School has been crowned champions of the Oyam District Secondary Schools Ball Games 2026 after edging Acaba Secondary School one goal to nil in the final played on Sunday 29th March, 2026 at Ngai Secondary School playground. 

Captain Okello Emmanuel inspired his teammates with determination throughout the competition.

 He said that although there were many challenges, they managed to lift the trophy. He promised to intensify practice with his teammates ahead of the regional tournament. 

Meanwhile, Simon Peter Okeng, headteacher of Acaba Secondary School, welcomed the defeat, noting that Acaba remains strong since it will be represented in the regional tournament by both boys and girls. 

ASUO Oyam District chairperson Kibwota Stephanie praised the smooth running of the games, saying they started well and ended well. He added that preparations for the regional tournament are now underway; confidently stating that Oyam District is ready to fight for success. 

Six teams will represent Oyam District in the regional tournament. In the boys’ category: Loro Secondary School, Acaba Secondary School, and Ngai Secondary School as host. In the girls’ category: Acaba Secondary School, Everest High School, and Iceme Girls as host.
