Called to serve ministries donates over 200 hand hoes to farmers

Called to Serve Ministries – Kitgum branch in Bajere has donated 210 hand hoes to farmers ahead of the planting season.

While handing over the hand hoes to beneficiary households in Bajere, Senior Pastor Okum Ronald said the donation aims to help farmers fight poverty and ensure food security, alongside spreading God’s word. Pr. Okum urged the beneficiaries to adopt environmentally friendly farming methods to protect the environment.

Ms. Lamwaka Christine Ochola, one of the beneficiaries, praised Called to Serve Ministries for intervening to support their members in combating household poverty. She pledged to use the hoes to boost her household’s food security.

Mr. Nyerere Julius, another beneficiary, said the delivery of the hand hoes is timely, as farmers are currently opening gardens and planting seeds following the onset of the rainy season.
