Aru North MP Aspirant Oola George Pledges Improved Health Services and Youth Empowerment

Aru North Member of Parliament aspirant, Hon. Oola George, has pledged to improve health services for the people of Aru North Constituency once elected in the 2026 general elections.

Speaking during a press briefing with journalists from Pader and Kitgum on Tuesday, 28th October 2025, Hon. Oola said Aru North has not had substantial representation in Parliament, which has created leadership gaps in the area.

Hon. Oola, who contested in the 2021 elections but lost to Hon. Obwoya Fearless Oyat, said his vision focuses on peaceful engagement with the government to ensure the Aswa Ranch fund benefits the youth and to address youth redundancy.

He also vowed to fight poverty through new initiatives that will empower VSLA groups with financial support, monitor youth livelihood projects, and build the capacity of existing groups into cooperatives.

Oola further promised to follow up on unfulfilled government pledges, including the establishment of a government hospital in Pajule Town Council, ensure close monitoring of health facilities to improve service delivery, promote infrastructure development, and advocate for accountability in leadership.

The aspirant, who will contest as an independent candidate, emphasized his commitment to participate in parish, sub-county, and district council meetings to listen to the needs of the people and respond appropriately.
