Suspected bomb explosion leaves two children feared dead in Lamwo

Police in the Aswa East Region are investigating a suspected bomb explosion that has reportedly left two children feared dead in Lamwo District.

According to unconfirmed reports from Pawichi Village in Beyogoya Parish, Anaka Parish, Palabek Gem Sub-county, the two children had reportedly gone hunting in the bush, where they allegedly picked up an unexploded ordnance suspected to be a bomb and carried it back home.

It is alleged that upon reaching home, the object exploded, and the two children are feared to have died as a result of the explosion.

Police officers, together with the Scene of Crime Officer (SOCO) and detectives, have moved to the scene to verify the unconfirmed information and conduct further investigations.
