Acaba SS Girls retain Oyam District Ball Games crown after defeating Everest High School 1–0 at Ngai Secondary school on 24th ,march,2026

The girls’ team of Acaba Secondary School has once again emerged champions of the Oyam District Secondary Schools Ball Games 2026. Acaba SS successfully defended their crown after edging Everest High School by one goal to nil in the final played Tuesday evening at Ngai Secondary School playground.

Team captain Awor Marita inspired her teammates with determination throughout the competition. Head coach Emmanuel Odongo attributed the victory to consistent training and discipline among the school teams.

Meanwhile, Ronald Okidi, headteacher of Everest High School, welcomed the result, saying it gives his side morale to prepare better for the upcoming Lango zonal meet. Sam Apeny, the District Inspector of Schools who represented the DEO Oyam, congratulated the winning team and pledged continued support from the education department towards sports development.

This year’s competition attracted 10 out of 13 secondary schools in Oyam District.
