Her activism and defense of UPC votes resonate with voters who see her as a guardian of democracy. Community members highlight her accessibility and grassroots credibility as reasons why she is gaining momentum in the town

In Aleke, Dr. Apio’s campaign has been met with enthusiasm. Locals emphasise her ability to connect with ordinary citizens, listening to their concerns and advocating for solutions that reflect their needs. Her track record in parliament is seen not just as political success, but as proof of her commitment to community progress.

Acaba residents are rallying behind Dr. Apio because of her proven leadership. Many say her record shows she is not just making promises but delivering results. Her vow to defend UPC votes has strengthened her image as a protector of democratic values, inspiring confidence across the subcounty.

Across Oyam North, the message is consistent: Dr. Apio’s leadership is uniting communities. Her blend of activism, parliamentary achievements, and grassroots credibility positions her as the candidate who can bring progress while safeguarding democracy. Voters believe her record speaks louder than promises, and her campaign is energising the district.

Other aspirants have also voiced their commitments to Oyam’s future. Adea Nelson Akar, LC5 aspirant for Oyam District, pledged to fight against the buying and selling of jobs, condemning what he described as a “bad culture” undermining fairness and opportunity.

Harriet Among Odongo, popularly known as Oryet and aspirant for Western Ward in Oyam Town Council, vowed to continue supporting youth empowerment, highlighting her initiative that already sponsors 20 young people in vocational studies.

Samuel Onapa, widely known as Sam Sammy and a candidate for Western Ward, promised to bring development projects if elected. He also rallied voters to support Dr. Apio, emphasising unity in leadership. Meanwhile, Lubangakene Ronald, aspirant for Mayor of Oyam Town Council, declared that once elected he will end divisionism in the council and spearhead greater development initiatives for the district.
