The district chairman for FDC is not happy with politically biased voter register officials.

The Kasese District Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Chairperson, Mr Ronald Kabuku, has expressed concern over what he described as the discriminatory selection of parish and sub county supervisors tasked with overseeing voter register updates ahead of the Women Council and Local Council I and II elections scheduled for July and August 2026.

Addressing a press conference in Kasese Town yesterday, Mr Kabuku warned that limiting supervisory roles reportedly to members of the ruling National Resistance Movement could undermine the credibility of the exercise and potentially disenfranchise eligible voters, particularly those affiliated with opposition parties.

Mr Kabuku argued that politicising the voter register update process is unlawful and risks creating confusion among voters, some of whom he claimed could be deliberately excluded.

Mr Ronald Kabuku, Kasese District FDC Chairperson, speaks on concerns over alleged political bias in the selection of supervisors for the voter register update exercise ahead of the 2026 elections.

He added that the party would closely monitor the process and is prepared to seek legal redress should there be any attempts to manipulate the voter register ahead of the upcoming polls.
