FDC flag bearer threatens to petition the electoral commission over irregularities.
Speaking to our reporter yesterday evening, Mr. Misaki alleged that the elections were marred by violence, alteration of declaration forms and election results, as well as the participation of people whose names did not appear in the voters’ register.
He argued that the reported irregularities undermined the credibility of the election outcome and called for a repeat of the polls.
Mr. Misaki also alleged that some of his agents and supporters were arrested and detained at Kasese Central Police Station following the election violence and the reported irregularities at the polling station.
According to Misaki, he is consultation with the legal team led by Counsel Geoffrey Sibendire Bigogo of Sibendire and Co. Advocates.
The newly elected LC I Chairperson for Kitsutsu II Village in Munkunyu Sub-county, Kasese District, NRM Mr. Lawrence Mulemba Gambi, has pledged to work with members of the opposition to promote unity, peace, and education in the area.
Meanwhile, the Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament Hon.Sarah Masereka Baleke, pledged collaboration with the newly elected LC1 chairpersons for effective service delivery.
The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) flag bearer for the LC I chairperson elections in Nyamwamba West Cell, Kasese Municipality, Mr. Misaki Kule Isembasu, has threatened to petition the Electoral Commission, demanding fresh elections over alleged electoral irregularities.
Meanwhile, the Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament Hon.Sarah Masereka Baleke, pledged collaboration with the newly elected LC1 chairpersons for effective service delivery.
