Boda-boda boy intends to drag health worker to court over debt

A health worker given a three day ultimatum to refund a debt.

A health worker in Greater Maliba in Kasese District, is facing a three-day ultimatum to refund money she allegedly borrowed from a boda-boda rider about four months ago or risk further action.

Mr. Rogers Masereka, the complainant, alleges that one Ms. Mutabazi borrowed 400,000 shillings from him, saying she needed the money to facilitate the processing of a bank loan but she has since failed to repay the money.

When contacted by our reporter, the Executive Director of Kasese Youth Link, Mr. Ronald Kato, issued a three-day ultimatum to Ms. Mutabazi to clear the outstanding amount, warning that legal measures would be considered to help Mr. Rogers recover the money.

Mr. Kato said Mr. Rogers is already facing financial pressure after receiving police summons over failure to service a motorcycle loan he acquired.
