KASESE: The chairperson, Bulembia division calls for thorough investigation in the Education Department.

The Chairperson of Bulembia Division, Mr. Richard Bomera, has called for thorough investigations into the Education Department of Kasese Municipality over he thinks could be administrative negligence, claiming that underperforming head teachers continue to retain their positions despite numerous reports implicating them in misconduct.

Speaking during the handover ceremony of Bulembia Health Centre, which was recently elevated to Health Centre III status, Mr. Bomera expressed concern over the persistent poor performance of schools in the division.

He alleged that despite repeated complaints against some head teachers for absenteeism, chronic late-coming, and other professional shortcomings, the relevant authorities have failed to take corrective action.

Similarly, Mr. Bomera further alleged that some law enforcement officers have failed to effectively discharge their duties, citing cases of absenteeism and chronic drunkenness while on duty; the conducts that amount to a loss of public service and undermines efforts to maintain law and order.
