Residents reject a door to door registration.

The registration exercise for the forthcoming Local Council I and II elections in Kizungu Cell took a new turn yesterday after residents rejected the initial door-to-door registration approach, arguing that it was both inconvenient and likely to exclude many eligible voters who leave home early for work, including market vendors.

Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio on the first day of the exercise, Ms. Grace Masika, alongside other residents, called for the village polling station to serve as the registration centre to allow all eligible voters to register at their convenience, prompting an immediate change in the registration arrangement.
