kasese; Diocese of Kasese joined the world in celebrating Father’s Day

Story by Kyamanduma Patrick.

Men in the Diocese of Kasese joined the rest of the world in commemorating Father’s Day yesterday, with a strong call for leadership founded on openness, respect, and service rather than fear and suppression.

While presiding over the second Mass at Kasese Cathedral, the Diocesan Pontifical Mission Coordinator, Rev. Fr. Augustine Byaruhanga, urged Christians to remain prayerful amid the ongoing arrests, noting that according to biblical teachings, deeds carried out in darkness will eventually be brought to light.

Fr. Byaruhanga also cautioned leaders against governing through intimidation, emphasizing the need for a cordial and supportive relationship between administrators and those they lead to foster trust, justice, and social harmony.

Fr. Byaruhanga reminded Christians that while human life is temporary, individuals are called to live righteously and perform good deeds if they hope to attain eternal life in Heaven.
