Christians of Kasese Cathedral Parish urged to preach gospel of peace, hope and faith.

Rev. Fr. Joseph Kirungi, the Parish Priest of Our Lady of Assumption Kasese Cathedral Parish, has urged Christians to preach the Gospel of peace, hope, and faith to their neighbors.

In his homily while presiding over today’s Morning Mass at Our Lady of Assumption Kasese Cathedral Church, Fr. Kirungi said it is the responsibility of every Christian to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ and preach repentance as a way of addressing the many challenges facing the world.

Fr. Kirungi also called on believers to emulate St. Nyesio, who was once a soldier but was inspired after reading about the lives of the saints. He practiced their virtues and eventually became one of the saints, with his exemplary life leading him to sainthood.

During the Mass, the Parish Priest was assisted by the Pontifical Commission Coordinator, Rev. Fr. Augustine Byaruhanga, and the Curate of Our Lady of Assumption Kasese Cathedral Parish, Rev. Fr. Russiano Kyengereza.
