LCIII Chairperson donates mama kits to expectant mothers.

Dozens of expectant mothers in Rugendabara-Kikongo Town Council have welcomed the donation of mama kits by LC III Chairperson Mr. Edson Muhyana, describing the initiative as a timely intervention to promote safe motherhood.

The donation, which was received with excitement by the beneficiaries, is expected to help expectant mothers prepare for childbirth while supporting health workers in providing safer maternal care.

Some of the beneficiaries, including Ms Medres Kabugho and Hon. Nderu Baguma, said the mama kits would ease the work of health workers during delivery and contribute to the safety of both mothers and their newborn babies.

Addressing the beneficiaries at the Rugendabara-Kikongo Town Council headquarters yesterday, local council three Chairperson Edson Muhyana urged residents to embrace good health practices, hard work, unity, and peaceful coexistence, saying these values are essential for harmonious living and sustainable community development.

Mr. Selevano Mbabugha, popularly known as “The Voice of the Voiceless,” commended Mr. Muhyana for fulfilling his campaign pledges, saying the donation reflects his commitment to improving community health and delivering on the promises he made after assuming office.
