Viewing marriage as a sacred vocation than making it a stage for public performance

Rev. Fr. Vincent Bwambale has called on married couples to view marriage as a sacred vocation rather than a stage for public performance, emphasising the need for prayer and commitment to God as the foundation for a successful family life.

While presiding over a Holy Matrimonial Mass for Mr. Moris Kambale Nzobindo and Ms. Moreen Biira at Our Lady of Assumption Kasese Cathedral last weekend, Rev. Fr. Vincent urged the newlyweds to emulate the biblical example of Tobias, who prayed before consummating his marriage, placing God at the center of the union.

Fr. Vincent said couples should deliberately create time to bond, communicate, and share moments of affection in order to strengthen their relationships, noting that lack of companionship and emotional connection in marriage can leave spouses feeling isolated and may expose families to unnecessary challenges.

During their marriage vows, Mr. Moris Kambale Nzobindo, a resident of Kabughabugha Village in Rukoki Subcounty, Kasese District, and his wife pledged lifelong love, faithfulness, and commitment to one another, promising to remain united in marriage until death parts them.
