In an ambitious initiative aimed at supporting local farmers and addressing the challenges posed by climate change, Farm Smart Agro Input has rolled out a district-wide program offering free tree seedlings.
Speaking to our reporter earlier on Wednesday the manager of Farm Smart Agro Input, Mr. Otu Vincent, stated that farmers purchasing seeds from their shop will also receive free tree seedlings as part of this groundbreaking effort.
“We’ve seen many farmers buying seeds but struggling to achieve good yields due to the adverse effects of climate change,” Mr. Otu explained. “This program is our way of not just helping them improve their yields but also giving back to the environment by promoting reforestation.”
The initiative aims to encourage sustainable farming practices while addressing one of the district’s most pressing issues—land degradation caused by deforestation and erratic weather patterns. Mr. Otu emphasized the importance of quality inputs for successful farming, urging farmers to take advantage of the high-quality seeds sold at Farm Smart Agro Input.
“We offer a wide range of seeds tailored to meet the unique needs of our farmers. By investing in quality seeds, they make the first step toward greater productivity,” he advised.
In addition to seeds, Farm Smart Agro Input is extending further support with its free seedlings, reinforcing its commitment to the welfare of the local farming community.
Through this bold and innovative approach, Farm Smart Agro Input demonstrates its long-term vision of empowering farmers while contributing to environmental conservation efforts.
“Farmers are at the heart of what we do, and this program is one way to address the challenges they face amid climate change while enhancing their livelihoods,” Mr. Otu concluded.
Farmers interested in improving their yields, accessing affordable quality seeds, and participating in this tree-seedling program are encouraged to visit Farm Smart Agro Input today.
Together, these efforts mark an important step toward building a resilient agricultural sector and a sustainable future for the district.
