Joy and happiness enveloped the voters of Kioga County who gathered at the Gracious Hotel in Namugongo for a dinner party organized by Honorable Colline Angwech following her swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday.
The atmosphere was filled with celebration and hope for the future under her leadership.
During the event, Benson Ongom, a staff member at NBS TV, addressed the attendees, sharing exciting news.
Rumors are circulating in the corridors that Honorable Colline Angwech may be one of the nine ministers representing Northern Uganda,” he revealed, sparking waves of excitement among the guests.
In response, Honorable Colline Angwech took the microphone to express her heartfelt appreciation.
“I am truly grateful to everyone who contributed to my successful election into parliament.
Your support means everything to me,” she said warmly.
She continued with a powerful message about unity and equality.
“I commend all those who voted for me, regardless of my gender.
This victory is not just mine, but ours—it shows that leadership transcends gender boundaries.”Honorable Angwech then outlined her commitment to the community’s development.
“My priority will always be you, my constituents. I vow to focus on critical issues such as improving our roads, enhancing healthcare facilities, and expanding educational opportunities.”
The Resident District Commissioner of Amolatar, Okello Odoki Rwotlonyo, who was also present at the dinner, praised the electorate for their wise choice.
“Electing Honorable Colline Angwech shows that our community values exceptional leadership, irrespective of gender.
She is truly a leader chosen by the people,” he remarked.
Jacky Milton Otoo Olima joined in commending the voters of Kioga County.
“You have entrusted your faith in a remarkable leader. I believe Honorable Colline will fulfill all your expectations and lead with dedication.”
Obua Kony Paco assured the community of ongoing support and effective governance.
“Honorable Colline will respond appropriately to your needs and coordinate the necessary processes for progress.”Amidst the joyful celebration, voters who could barely contain their happiness also expressed their thanks.
