PLU coordinator Olobo flags off registration drive in Amolatar

The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) coordinator in charge of elders in the Lango Sub-region, Hon. James Olobo Dubai, former Member of Parliament for Kioga North, former NRM chairperson for Amolatar and former MP aspirant for Kaberamaido County, has flagged off 16 coordinators to conduct grassroots registration across 13 sub-counties and three town councils in Amolatar District.

The coordinators were dispatched on Tuesday during a ceremony where Olobo handed over registration materials to the sub-county coordinators.

He urged members of the public to register freely and carry their national identity cards.

He also assured them that they would receive PLU membership cards in due course.

Olobo emphasised that the registration is open to members of any political party, provided they support the candidature of General Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

He called for widespread participation in the registration exercise at the grassroots level.

He further explained that the PLU is not a political party but a pressure group operating under the National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Olobo said the group was formed to help fight corruption in the country.
