Namasale Technical School starts July/August national vocational exams

Namasale Technical School, one of Uganda’s pioneer vocational institutions in Amolatar District, has commenced the July/August national vocational examinations administered by the Uganda Vocational and Technical Assessment Board (UVTAB).

The school is gaining recognition for its commitment to producing skilled graduates equipped to contribute meaningfully to the workforce.

The school Principal, Canon Moses Ogwal Owiny, confirmed that the examinations started smoothly on 13 August 2026.

He said the students were well prepared and equipped to perform well, following the completion of the syllabus and rigorous practical training.

“Our candidates have undergone comprehensive theoretical lessons alongside hands-on training, which positions them strongly for success in their national assessments,” Canon Ogwal Owiny said.

In a call to parents, Canon Ogwal Owiny invited them to visit the school campus and explore the range of newly introduced hands-on courses offered by the institution.

These include Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Shoe Making, Electronics, and Bricklaying and Concrete Practice (BCP).

He emphasised the importance of parental involvement in encouraging students and helping parents understand the practical skills their children are developing.

As other learners prepare to return home for the second-term holidays, Canon Ogwal Owiny, who also serves as a clan head, urged students to maintain good discipline during the break.

“I encourage all our learners to assist their parents with domestic chores and remain dedicated to their studies even while at home. Discipline and commitment are key to their future success,” he said.
