The 13th July, 2026 sets a pace for District Quota System beneficiaries from Amolatar as District stake holders engages the families whose children have been selected in a verification process as they await August intake in the different Universities.
The meeting that was held at the district education hall did not just mean verification process but took the shape of guidance and counselling for the students as they join new lifestyles at the University.
Hon. Morrish Ogwal Omara the district Chairperson of Amolatar in his speech said as the District they will ensure they follow up the students to various Campuses they are joining to assess their progress with their education as they will no longer carry individual badges but rather for the entire District while also extending his gratitude to H.E The President of the Republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for this initiative.
He advised the students to take their education seriously while always re-echoing their background.
Sarah Tyan who is Assistant Resident District Commissioner urged the students to have self-control as they join the next stage in and above be patriotic citizens as they are already benefiting from the government.
The District Education Officer Mr. Obote Peter expressed his gratitude for presenting at least six students to be supported by the government urging parents to put the students in prayers to achieve a brighter future.
He also urged the six students to focus on their academics once they get to the Different Universities.
Meanwhile Susan Acio Ayura the Principal Assistant Secretary of Amolatar District urged the parents of the selected students to provide all the basic necessities for the students mostly the girl child because they are very vulnerable when it comes to life at the University to guard against persuasion from luxurious men who roam around the different universities in the Country.
The students also expressed their utmost gratitude for being enrolled under the District Quota System throwing votes of thanks to the government for this great Opportunity.
