Farmers praise Amolaatar UCSATP focal person for transforming agriculture

Farmers in Amolatar District have praised Mr. Samuel Dulson Okello, the focal point person for the Uganda Climate Smart Agricultural Transformation Project (UCSATP), for his role in promoting and successfully implementing the project in the district.

The praise was made during last Friday’s 4th.Sept.2026 district baraza organizedby AmolatarDistrictlocalgovernment, where a large number of farmers commended Okello for ensuring that the climate-smart agricultural initiatives reach beneficiaries and attract their active participation.

Amlaferi Ongwen Okao described UCSATP as one of the best-managed government projects in Amolatar, saying it has had a significant impact on farmers’ livelihoods.

He particularly thanked Okello for explaining the project’s co-funding component to farmers, an arrangement they said has been warmly welcomed by the community.

“UCSATP is one of the well-managed government projects in Amolatar.

It has greatly benefited farmers, and we appreciate Mr. Okello for promoting it and helping farmers understand the co-funding requirements,” Ongwen Okao said.

Mr. Okello, who also serves as the Acting Principal Entomologist in Amolatar District, was further commended for his commitment to ensuring that the project is effectively implemented and that farmers participate fully in its activities.

Mr.Ongwen said the project has improved their understanding of climate-smart agriculture while encouraging them to invest in sustainable farming practices.
