Body of unidentified man discovered on River Nile in Kamdini

Leaders of Kamdini Sub County in Oyam district are stuck with the body of unidentified man that was discovered on River Nile in Kamdini.

Kamdini Sub County LCIII chairman Terence Omonya said the body was discovered by fishermen on Sunday who reported the matter to Kamadini Police Station.

He said they suspect that the man could have been killed by unknown assailants who dumped his body in the river.

By press time today, Omonya said the body had not yet been picked by police, although they are working with the district leaders especially those in the community based services department to have the body retrieved.

Effort to speak to Oyam District Police Commander Innocent Mubangizi was futile as he did not answer our phone calls.

Oyam Resident District Commissioner Williams Komakech said he had not yet received this information by press time but promised to visit the crime scene this afternoon to gather further details on the matter.
