The Lead Pastor of The Worship House in Nansana, Wakiso District, Pastor Wilson Bugembe, has officially addressed the media regarding his highly anticipated gospel concert, scheduled for 8th August 2025 at Serena Hotel, Kampala.

The press conference, held at his church, was attended by several renowned gospel artists, including Pastor Twina Hebert, Pastor Justine Nabbosa, Maureen Nantume, and Betty Namaganda—all of whom pledged their full support for the upcoming event.

“I am very thankful to God for the gift of life and the guidance He has given me to minister through music for 20 years,” Pastor Bugembe told journalists. “It is never easy to begin, but God has been with me from the very start. This concert is not just about me—it’s a celebration of gospel music in Uganda. I call upon everyone who has supported me over the years to join us at Serena Hotel as we give thanks to God.”

He also revealed that all tables for the event have already sold out, with only a few regular tickets remaining.

Speaking at the same event, Pastor Justine Nabbosa expressed her gratitude for her musical journey with Pastor Bugembe. “Pastor Bugembe is someone who genuinely cares for others. He prays for people, supports them, and ensures that those around him live fulfilled lives. Let’s turn up in large numbers and fill Serena Hotel to show him our support,” she said.

Other artists, including Maureen Nantume and Pastor Twina Hebert, echoed similar sentiments, commending Pastor Bugembe for his unwavering dedication to gospel music and his spiritual impact across Uganda.

The press conference also featured remarks from Kasozi Steven, Marketing Manager at Success Motors, who confirmed the company’s support for the concert. “It’s our tradition to support gospel music. We are proud to stand with Pastor Wilson Bugembe in this celebration. We also invite people to explore our range of affordable vehicles, now available at discounted prices,” he said.

Meanwhile, former Supreme Court judge Professor George Kanyeihamba was laid to rest today in Buziga, Kampala. The state funeral was attended by high-ranking officials from both the central government and the Buganda Kingdom.

Mourners praised Professor Kanyeihamba for his unwavering integrity, noting that he served the judiciary without ever compromising his principles. Many highlighted his pivotal role in drafting the 1995 Constitution of Uganda—a contribution that earned him a six-gun salute at his burial.

Young lawyers were urged to emulate his legacy of justice grounded in honesty and free from bribery.
