As part of his birthday celebrations, Pastor Wilson Bugembe of The Worship House in Nansana Municipality has given out items to widows, single mothers, and other vulnerable people in the community. The initiative, he said, was a way of thanking God for the gift of life and reflecting on how far he has come.

“I have done this, not because I am so rich, but because I remember where I came from, and God has been so faithful to me. I urge other churches to also pick a leaf because the responsibility is still huge. I want to thank the people of this church who helped us organize this event and prisons for giving us posho to distribute to the vulnerable,” Pastor Bugembe said.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the gesture. Naggadya Farida, a resident of Nansana Municipality, said she was overwhelmed by the pastor’s generosity. “I’m so thankful to God for Pastor Wilson. He has done what most people can’t do. Each year he calls us to receive items, not because he has too much money, but because of his giving heart,” she said.

The Minister of State for Youth and Children, Balam Barugahara, who was the chief guest, praised Pastor Bugembe for his compassion and encouraged vulnerable people to remain strong and take part in government programs. He pledged Uganda Shillings 1 million to support the cause and urged attendees to support President Museveni in the 2026 general elections.
