Married couples have been encouraged to embrace dialogue as a key tool for resolving challenges in their homes and preventing gender-based violence. The call was made by Elder Steven Kiseka during the introduction ceremony of Kaweesi George William and Stella Nantale in Lugala-Masanafu, Rubaga Division, Kampala District.

Elder Kiseka advised couples not to be influenced by negative opinions from outsiders, but instead to communicate openly and calmly whenever disagreements arise. He emphasised that peaceful dialogue is essential for building strong families and avoiding violence.

During the event, Kaweesi and Nantale expressed gratitude to God for enabling them to hold a successful ceremony. The couple also thanked friends and family who contributed to their special day.

“We are speechless; God has finally made it happen. For everyone who supported us, we pray that God performs miracles for you as He has done for us,” they said.

As the country moves through the election period, the couple further urged Ugandans to maintain peace, noting that Uganda will remain stable even after the elections.

Polling day for the President and Members of Parliament is scheduled for 15 January 2026.
