Various local leaders in Nansana have urged Ugandans to refrain from engaging in acts of violence during the election period, noting that such actions have in the past resulted in injuries, imprisonment, and loss of life.

The leaders also encouraged citizens to engage in productive economic activities through which they can earn income, support their livelihoods, and move forward with their lives.

Hamza Kyeyune, popularly known as Rasta Bag, the secretary of an organisation that brings together ghetto residents in Nansana, told journalists that Ugandans should return to their daily work and focus on activities that enable them to earn a living. He added that individuals dissatisfied with election outcomes should seek redress through the courts rather than resorting to violence.

Similarly, the Chairperson of Kazo Central Two Village, Nathan Bogere Pakacha, condemned youths who engage in violent acts under the guise of political motivation while pursuing personal interests, including harming others.

He urged young people to avoid actions that could lead to instability and unrest in the country.
