today held the 9th edition of the Men Gather Conference at its grounds in Kampala, attracting more than 1,000 men from different parts of Uganda.
The annual prayer gathering brought together men seeking spiritual renewal, fellowship and encouragement through prayer and preaching.
Several attendees expressed appreciation to the organizing committee for dedicating a conference specifically to men. Many said the event has continued to impact their lives positively and strengthen their faith.
One of the attendees, Jackson Kanyike, said the gathering gives men enough time to pray and also provides an opportunity to interact with people from different parts of the country.
Kanyike noted that such interactions often lead to valuable connections and even job opportunities.
He expressed gratitude for being able to attend the conference again this year.
“I am so happy that God has given me the opportunity to be here for this year’s edition. I am always joyful being in this place because I get the chance to connect with fellow men from all over the country,” he said.
Kanyike added that he attended the conference last year and witnessed significant positive changes in his life.
“I am a living testimony because before last year I was going through many challenges as a man. But since attending last year’s meeting, things have honestly changed for the better, and I have been able to share what God has given me with others,” he said.
During the conference, Nigerian pastor Poju Oyemade encouraged men to remain prayerful and committed to interceding for their families, churches and the nation.
“We men have the task to intercede for our families, churches and the country. It does not necessarily mean that you must be rewarded by the people you intercede for. But if you continuously do good, God will eventually reward you,” he said.

Guest preacher John Edwards also shared his personal testimony, explaining how God transformed his life from drug addiction to becoming a preacher of the Gospel. He urged men to place their faith in God, saying only God has the power to completely change a person’s life.
The lead pastor of Phaneroo, Grace Lubega, thanked the men for turning up in large numbers and assured them that their participation in the conference would bring transformation in their lives.
