The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has confirmed that it will release a series of reports in the coming months. Speaking to journalists at the Uganda Media Centre, UBOS spokesperson Didacus Okoth, on behalf of Executive Director Dr. Chris Mukiiza, said the 2026 Dissemination Calendar for completed surveys and census reports is now available.
Beginning 12th March 2026, key publications including the Uganda Malaria Indicator Survey 2025, Labour Market Survey 2025, and Uganda Aquaculture Census 2025, among others, will be released.
Reports will be uploaded on the UBOS website on their respective dissemination dates. The bureau urged the public to follow its official platforms to stay informed. “We urge the general public to remain in touch with us, stay informed, and follow the releases to access data that supports evidence-based planning and decision-making,” Okoth said.
The statistics provided by UBOS enable government ministries and agencies to operate efficiently. While the public criticized UBOS for what they termed an error during the 2024 census, the institution has remained focused and committed to its mandate. At the time, Dr. Chris Mukiiza clarified the situation and emphasized that UBOS is dedicated to providing accurate statistical information.
The 2026 dissemination schedule will run until 7th May 2026.
