All Ugandans have been urged to seek medical attention from health facilities before illnesses worsen, and to avoid the habit of buying and using medicine without first consulting qualified health workers. Experts warn that self-medication can worsen conditions or cause additional health complications.

She called on the public to participate in the upcoming health exhibition scheduled to begin on the 26th to 28th of March 2026, dubbed Uganda Pharma Health Care 2026. The event will take place at the Uganda Manufacturers Association grounds in Lugogo, Kampala.
The exhibition is expected to attract health professionals from across the world, including pharmaceutical suppliers and medical practitioners, and will offer various learning opportunities on health-related issues.
Dr Ezra Muhumuza, a representative of the Uganda Manufacturers Association, UMA explained that the exhibition aims to promote local production of health-related products by encouraging innovation and evaluation of materials used in the health sector. He added that there will also be space for showcasing and certifying locally manufactured products.
