As believers in Christ yesterday celebrated Palm Sunday, Christians have been urged to embrace the ways of Jesus Christ and remain steadfast in their faith.
While preaching at Worship House in Nansana Municipality, the lead pastor, Wilson Bugembe, emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Preaching under the theme “Believer Under Training,” Bugembe noted that true transformation can only come through Christ.
He explained that no one can change a person’s life for the better except Jesus Christ, who died on the cross so that those who believe in Him may have eternal life. He encouraged believers to remain committed to their faith by reading the Bible and living righteous lives.
He said that what Christ did for humanity was great and cannot be matched by any human being. He urged Christians to find time to read their Bibles and not only read them but also live righteous lives. He added that believers should remain focused and patient, noting that whatever God has promised will come to pass, even if it takes time.
The service attracted many believers, some of whom said they now better understand the significance of Palm Sunday and the importance of continuing to trust in God.
In a similar message, the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Stephen Kazimba Mugalu, while preaching at St. Andrew’s Church in Bukoto, Kampala, emphasized the need for Christians to put their trust in God rather than in worldly things.
