The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has today released a revised calendar for completed surveys and census reports.

The announcement was made by the Bureau’s spokesperson, Didacus Okoth, on behalf of the Executive Director, Dr. Chris Mukiza, during a briefing held at the Uganda Media Centre.

In his address, Okoth called upon the media to continue playing an active role in informing the public about the Bureau’s activities.

“We want to appreciate our colleagues in the media for always updating the country on what is going on in the Bureau. We urge them to continue doing the good work of educating the public, especially about UBOS and what exactly it does,” he said.

He added that the revised dissemination calendar provides updated timelines for the release of statistical data and information. This, he noted, is essential in supporting evidence-based planning, policy formulation, and informed public debate.

According to UBOS, the revised calendar is a crucial tool for both government and the general public. Stakeholders have been encouraged to visit the Bureau’s official website to access detailed survey information and better understand ongoing statistical activities.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Uganda, Robinah Nabbanja, has today launched a locally manufactured IVD test at the Serena Hotel Kampala.

During the launch, Nabbanja commended the Ministry of Health for its efforts and encouraged local manufacturers to continue supporting domestic production. She also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting local innovations and strengthening the health sector.
