The spokesperson of the JEEMA political party and parliamentary aspirant for Busiro North, Dr. Swaib Kaggwa Nsereko, has condemned men who impregnate women and later abandon them without providing any support.
Dr. Kaggwa made the remarks in Nakitokolo, Namayumba Subcounty in Wakiso District, where he was canvassing for votes ahead of the 2026 parliamentary elections.
He said many men have developed a habit of making women pregnant and then fleeing from their responsibilities, leaving women to struggle alone in raising the children. He noted that this burden has forced many mothers to work extremely hard to provide for their children, often with limited resources, yet their efforts greatly shape the future of the nation.
Dr. Kaggwa urged residents of Busiro North to vote for him so he can represent them in Parliament and push for a law that rewards and supports mothers for the vital role they play in raising children and building the country. He also appealed to all Ugandans to reject all forms of discrimination, saying this will foster development in communities.
He added that welcoming and accepting people as they are helps societies grow and contributes to national progress. Dr. Kaggwa further encouraged citizens to remain honest and loyal, describing these values as essential pillars for development.
