This Friday, supporters of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will gather at Kololo ceremonial grounds to celebrate his achievements over the past 35 years. Organised by patriotic Ugandans, the event anticipates a large crowd, with attendees expected from neighbouring countries like Eritrea and Tanzania.

Rosemary Seninde, Director of NRM mobilisation, addressed the media in Kampala, noting that many people have already begun arriving for the celebrations. “We are thrilled to commemorate President Museveni’s countless achievements, which have significantly contributed to Uganda’s current prosperity,” she said.

Dr. Samuel Oledo Odongo, a supporter, added, “We appreciate President Museveni’s leadership and vision, which have brought peace and stability to our country. This celebration is a testament to his lasting legacy.”

As part of the celebrations, a medical camp will be set up to provide specialised care for diabetes patients, blood donations, and eye checks, among other services. A dedicated team of 100 doctors will offer their expertise, and more than 4,000 doctors who have benefited from presidential scholarships are expected to attend.

This is a unique opportunity for us to give back to the community and express our gratitude for the President’s support for the medical profession,” Oledo said.

The event aims to showcase Museveni’s achievements to the public, highlighting his contributions to Uganda’s development. Patriotic Ugandans have mobilised extensive resources for the occasion, including over 100 cows and 15 tons of rice, among other food items. Ssenninde emphasised that this is a private initiative, not a government organised event, but rather a celebration by Ugandans who recognise Museveni’s positive impact.

“This is organised by patriotic Ugandans who believe in celebrating those who do good things,” Seninde said. The event is open to the public, and all Ugandans are invited to attend and celebrate Museveni’s achievements.
