The Quran competition aims to foster unity among Muslims

In a bid to promote Islamic knowledge and excellence, the Iraji Foundation, in collaboration with Biggie Events, is organizing a national Quran competition, aims to achieve several objectives includes, to promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Quran among Muslims in Uganda, to identify and nurture young talent in Quranic recitation and memorization and to foster a sense of community and unity among Muslims in Uganda.

The competition, scheduled to take place on 23rd/02/2025, at Kampala Serena Hotel, will feature various categories, including Quran recitation, memorization, and interpretation. Participants will be judged on their accuracy, fluency, and overall understanding of the Quran.Sheikh Shafick Mafu, a respected Islamic scholar and leader, has urged all Muslims to always embrace the knowledge and teachings of Islam, emphasizing the importance of seeking knowledge and living according to the principles of Islam.

“My dear brothers and sisters in Islam,” Sheikh Mafu began, “it is our duty as Muslims to seek knowledge and to live according to the teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Islam is a way of life, and it is our responsibility to embody its values and principles in all aspects of our lives.”Success Motors, a leading automotive company in Uganda, has announced its decision to support Quran competitions in the country.

The company’s management stated that this move is aimed at building a strong rapport with the Muslim community and promoting Islamic values.According to the Managing Director of Success Motors, Isaac Barunda, the company recognizes the importance of Quran competitions in promoting Islamic knowledge and excellence.

“We believe that by supporting these competitions, we can contribute to the development of a more knowledgeable and spiritually conscious Muslim community,” he said.Such Motors has pledged to provide financial support to Quran competitions organized by various Muslim organizations and institutions.

The company will also provide vehicles to transport participants and officials to and from competition venues.The support from Such Motors is expected to boost the profile of Quran competitions in Uganda, attracting more participants and spectators.

The company’s involvement is also seen as a positive step in building bridges between the business community and the Muslim population.As part of its efforts to build a strong rapport with the Muslim community, such Motors has also offered two Toyota vehicles to the winners.
