Victoria Sharks defeat Warriors 34-9 at Legends Grounds, Lugogo

Victoria Sharks Triumph Over Warriors: Victoria University’s rugby team secures a 34-9 victory in an away match at Legends Grounds, Lugogo.

Higher institutions of learning have been urged to prioritise sports development to enhance students’ talents and well-being.

Patrick Ssebuliba, Sports Coordinator at Victoria University and Chairman of the Victoria Sharks Rugby Club, made this call during a rugby match between Victoria Sharks and Warriors at Legends Rugby Grounds in Lugogo, where Victoria Sharks triumphed 34-9.

Ssebuliba emphasised that sports play a crucial role in building students’ character and fostering national unity.

He pointed out that countries like Brazil, Germany, and the UK, to name a few, have achieved significant success through investing in sports infrastructure.

Ssebuliba further stated that if Uganda prioritises sports development, both students and the government will benefit, gaining not only national pride but also international recognition.
