UBOS Releases Revised Calendar for Survey and Census Reports

The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has released a revised calendar outlining the timelines for completed survey and census reports, reaffirming its commitment to providing timely and reliable data for national planning.

Addressing journalists at UBOS House in Kampala, the Principal Public Relations Officer, Didacus Okoth, revealed that several key reports have already been published and are ready for public use.

Okoth noted that the bureau released a number of critical reports in March and April 2026.

These include the Uganda Aquaculture Census (UAC) Report 2025, the Uganda Malaria Indicator Survey (UMIS) Report 2025, the Orphans and Other Vulnerable Children (OVC) Census Monograph 2024, and the National Population and Housing Census 2024 Community Monograph.

Also released are the Labour Market Survey Report and the National Human Resource Survey Report for 2023/2024.

He further announced that on 21st May 2026, UBOS will release additional reports, including the Uganda Business Inquiry 2019/2020 and the Uganda Harmonized Indicator Survey (UHIS) reports covering Wave I and II (2021–2024), as well as Wave III for 2025.

Okoth added that the bureau will conclude the release schedule on 28th May 2026 with the publication of the Baseline Education Census (BEC) Report.

This report will contain comprehensive education statistics collected jointly by UBOS and the Ministry of Education.

He urged Ugandans, policymakers, researchers, and stakeholders to utilize the available statistics to support informed decision-making, improve service delivery, and enhance accountability across the country.
