The discussion examines the importance of women’s participation in local decision making, the unique strengths women bring to leadership, and the challenges they face, including gender stereotypes, discrimination, criticism, and lack of confidence. It also highlights the major challenges affecting communities in Mukono, including poverty, unemployment, domestic violence, and insecurity, and discusses how government and local leaders are responding to these concerns.

The program further highlights government initiatives that empower women economically, including the Parish Development Model, and explains how women can access and benefit from such programs. It encourages communities, men, families, schools, and local leaders to support women’s leadership and nurture the next generation of female leaders.
