Mushabe Kikukuure Charles has been nominated for the position of National Secretary General for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the NRM League. This nomination marks a significant step towards greater inclusivity within the party—and potentially within government structures.
Currently serving as the Councillor for PWDs in Kiboga District and as Secretary, Charles brings valuable experience to the role. His nomination is viewed as a testament to the NRM’s ongoing commitment to inclusion, a principle consistently emphasised by President Yoweri Museveni.
“I thank President Museveni for promoting inclusion—something that was lacking in previous regimes,” Charles said, expressing his appreciation for the opportunity. “We, the PWDs, have finally found space in this government, with representation through a minister, women, and children—all being included.”
Charles’ vision for the upcoming term (2026–2031) centres on advancing inclusivity and empowering PWDs within the NRM and across society. His nomination has generated optimism among PWDs and NRM supporters alike, who view it as a milestone in the party’s journey towards greater representation and equality.
