The Speaker of Parliament, Thomas Tayebwa, has encouraged graduates to utilise expert knowledge and technology to engage in developmental activities, rather than using it for non-productive purpose

Tayebwa made these remarks during the 8th graduation ceremony of Victoria University, held at Speke Resort Munyonyo, where a total of 1,471 students graduated.

Speaker Tayebwa encouraged the graduates to apply the knowledge they have gained from the university to engage in activities that will benefit both themselves and the nation, rather than spending time on social media engaging in unproductive activities.

The Chancellor of Victoria University, Professor Opuda Asibo John, advised the graduates during the ceremony to conduct themselves professionally as they enter the working world.

Kalungu West Member of Parliament and Shadow Minister for Education, Joseph Gonzaga Ssewungu, who was also present at the ceremony, urged the government to increase investment in education.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor of Victoria University, Lawrence Muganga, urged the graduates to embrace and engage more with the rapidly evolving technology.
