Child abuse, psychological torture reported in Wakiso district

A disturbing case of child abuse and psychological torture has surfaced in Muguluka village, Kidandali, Hoima Road, Wakiso District, Namayumba Subcounty.

10-year-old Jane, a Primary 5 student at St. Edward Primary School, has been subjected to severe physical and emotional abuse by her family members. According to sources, Jane’s aunt, who works in Saudi Arabia, instructed her to collect clothes from her grandmother’s bedroom without permission. This led to a violent confrontation.

Jane’s uncles, including her biological father, severely beat her, and her aunt intimidated her into silence by threatening harm if she spoke out. Her father has also refused to send her back to school.

Authorities have been urged to take immediate action to ensure Jane’s safety and well-being. Mr. Kajimu Samuel, Vice Chairperson of Namayumba Subcounty, and Bukondo village counselor, stated that the matter is being handled by the police

Jane’s father has however denied being involved, claiming that both his daughter and the aunt are conspiring against the family and that he is not concerned about the matter
