Eunice Shabamagara, a young and ambitious politician, has launched her campaign to contest the Rubabo constituency parliamentary seat in Rukungiri District. Shabamagara, who is seeking the seat on the Democratic Party (DP) ticket, says she is passionate about empowering the youth and addressing the challenges facing the constituency.

In an interview, Shabamagara emphasised the need for youth involvement in leadership, citing her own experiences as a young leader.

“We have the capacity, the skills, and the passion to make a difference,” she said. “It’s time for the youth to take centre stage and shape the future of our constituency.”

A strong advocate for women’s empowerment, Shabamagara believes her leadership style would bring a fresh perspective to the constituency.

“As a woman and a youth leader, I understand the challenges that our communities face,” she said. “I am committed to working tirelessly to address these challenges and improve the lives of our people.”

The Rubabo constituency seat is currently held by an incumbent MP, and Shabamagara’s decision to contest is seen as a bold move. However, she remains undeterred, expressing confidence in her chances based on her track record of leadership and service to the community.

Her campaign is expected to focus on key issues affecting the constituency, including education, healthcare, and economic empowerment. Her message of hope and renewal is resonating with many young people in the area, who are eager for change and new leadership.

As the electoral race intensifies, all eyes will be on Shabamagara and her competitors to see who will emerge victorious and represent the people of Rubabo constituency in Parliament.
