Kitgum : Track and field events underway today with secondary schools from Kitgum Municipality competing after student vetting wrapped up

The action follows a full vetting exercise held earlier yesterday where all game teachers from government and private schools turned up to verify student IDs, academic records, and birth documents.

With vetted athletes cleared, events on the track and field got started at Boma Ground today Friday. Schools across Kitgum Municipality registered teams, and students are now competing in sprints, middle distance, relays, jumps, and throws.

Game teachers on ground commended the vetting process, saying it guarantees fair play and protects genuine students from being edged out by over-age or non-student players.

Vetted teams will continue with other Ball Games II disciplines after athletics.
