Kioga players celebrated after scoring their only goal that opened door for them to the final this edition

The defending champions did just enough to advance on aggregate, with Geoffrey Emor scoring the only goal of the game.

The first leg between the two sides had ended 0-0, meaning Saturday’s match was a decider.

Both teams created chances but it was Kioga who held their composure in front of goal.

Geoffrey Emor broke the deadlock to give Kioga the lead and ultimately the win.

Geoffrey Emor was deservedly voted MOTM after scoring the decisive 77th-minute goal that sent Kioga into the Dwog Pacu Cup 2nd Edition Final.

For his match-winning performance, Emor was rewarded with 50 tree seedlings, in line with the tournament’s “Plant More Trees” initiative

Moroto pushed for an equalizer late on but Kioga’s defense stood firm to protect their advantage and book a place in the championship match.

Lira City East will host Ajuri County with a mountain to climb. Ajuri won the first leg 2-0 and will come into the match with a comfortable advantage.

Lira City East will need at least 3 goals without reply to overturn the deficit and reach the final, while Ajuri will be aiming to defend their lead and join Kioga in the final.

Fans are expected to turn up in big numbers for what promises to be another dramatic afternoon of county football.
